Heirloom Quilt Cardigan Class; begins 4/25 (4 sessions)

In this 4-part class, learn to make the Heirloom Quilt Cardigan! Learn how to make flat stranded colorwork blocks, and seam them together into a one of a kind cardigan. Use up your scrappy yarn, or make a master color plan for your layout. This class will be a lot of fun for color planning & layout, and there will be a wealth of information on how to go about stranding this piece, including intarsia twists and catching floats.

Knitting Basics 101 - Learn to Knit; 4/28 & 5/5

In this class we will knit a sampler style scarf or cowl. You will learn to knit, purl, cast on, and bind off on straight needles. Ideal for absolute beginners, or those that haven’t picked up their needles in years.

Knitting Basics - Raglan Tee or Sweater; begins 5/29 (5 sessions)

Knit your first tee or sweater! In this class we will knit a top down, raglan top. You can choose a tee, long sleeve sweater, or cardigan and Rachel will guide you through swatching, picking your size, raglan sweater construction, and finishing with lots of tips, tricks, and encouragement along the way.

Knitting Basics 102 - Knitting in the Round; 6/1 & 6/8

In this class we will need a simple hat using the “in the round” technique. You will learn how to knit in the round on circular needles and DPNs (double pointed needles) and how to decrease.

Knitting Basics - Triangular Shawl; begins 6/8 (3 sessions)

Learn to knit a shawl! In this class we'll be knitting a triangular shawl with a garter tab. Knit this simple shawl while you master one of the foundational shawl shapes and enjoy the squishy garter texture and mediative stitching.

Ariana Cardigan Class; begins 6/13 (4 sessions)

In this 4-part class, learn to make the Ariana Cardigan! This class will go over how to make granny squares, half granny triangles, quarter granny triangles, and how to work a join as you go to connect them together to build the cardigan. After that, you will pick up stitch and knit the hem, button band and cuff!

Fixing Mistakes (knit); 6/15

Learn to fix mistakes in your knitting. We'll practice picking up dropped stitches, laddering down to fix incorrect stitches (including in lace, ribbing, and miscrossed cables), and how to fix problems after finishing a project. Feel free to bring any WIPs with mistakes you'd like help fixing!

Knitting Basics 103 - Small Circumference Knitting; 6/15, 6/22 & 6/29

In this class we will explore multiple methods of knitting smaller items in the round as we knit a pair of fingerless mitts. We will practice knitting in the round using the “magic loop” method, as well as with DPNs (double pointed needles). You will also have the opportunity to try two alternate methods, although we will not go into those in depth. This class is crucial if you want to knit socks, mittens, or seamless sweater sleeves in the future.

Basic Sock Class; 7/13, 7/20 & 7/27

Learn to knit a basic sock cuff down, with a heel flap and gusset. In this class, we'll use a DK weight yarn so you can practice the basic construction and make a pair of thick and cozy socks. This is one of the most common sock constructions, so after completing this class you'll have the basic skills to explore countless sock patterns.

Strikke Socials - Stitch with us each week!

Bring your knit, crochet, or any other fiber project, and work on it at the shop in a group setting. Meet new people, hang with old friends, and work those WIPs! Drinks & snacks are welcome.

Fridays : 6pm - 8pm
